My philosophy

The Woman Behind Rise Through Coaching...

Life brings many challenges, but challenges do not have to stop us from becoming who we are meant to be.
If anyone understands this, it is me.

I returned to Australia at the age of 10. Learning to readjust, be accepted and find my place in a new environment was not easy. English was my second language. I was learning a different culture, navigating what it meant to belong and, at times, questioning whether I should change parts of myself to fit in, or simply be myself and trust that I would be accepted.

My sisters and I also experienced extreme bullying (from peers & teachers), throughout our primary school years and into high school, right through to Year 9. Those years were tough. There were moments that tested our confidence, our sense of belonging and our ability to keep going when things around us felt difficult.
But we kept going...

The Woman Behind Rise Through Coaching

Life brings many challenges, but challenges do not have to stop us from becoming who we are meant to be. If anyone understands this, it is me.
I returned to Australia at the age of 10. Learning to readjust, be accepted and find my place in a new environment was not easy. English was my second language. I was learning a different culture, navigating what it meant to belong and, at times, questioning whether I should change parts of myself to fit in, or simply be myself and trust that I would be accepted.

My sisters and I also experienced bullying throughout our primary school years and into high school, right through to Year 9. Those years were tough. There were moments that tested our confidence, our sense of belonging and our ability to keep going when things around us felt difficult.
But we kept going.

Looking back, I can see that those experiences became part of the foundation of who we are today. They taught us resilience. They taught us to stand back up. They taught us that difficult moments can be part of our story without becoming the story that defines us.

There were many walls to climb and many challenges to overcome. At times, it felt like one thing after another.
But I kept moving forward.

I had to learn how to swim through life's difficult moments, rather than allow them to define who I would become or where my journey would take me.
Somewhere along the way, something began developing within me: self-belief, resilience, courage and an inner balance that helped me keep moving forward.
And I believe that is where our strength can begin.

Not because life becomes easy, but because we learn that we can move through the hard moments without losing ourselves along the way.

A passion that has followed me throughout my life

Throughout my life, I have naturally found myself in roles where I support, guide, teach, mentor and encourage others.

Becoming an educator was never just about teaching lessons or delivering knowledge for me. It was about the person behind the student. I wanted young people to feel seen, supported and valued, to recognise their own capabilities and to know that they were capable of achieving far more than they might sometimes believe.

That passion led me to establish my own learning centre in 2017, where I continue to work with students and families, supporting children not only in their learning but also in developing confidence, resilience and a belief in themselves.

I have also spent almost 10 years working with adults in education and training. A large part of that work has involved encouraging adults to advocate for children, to understand their needs, to find their voice and, importantly, to recognise that they too have a voice and the ability to advocate for themselves.
And the list goes on.

Across education, mentoring, training, community work and the many different roles I have held throughout my life, I have continued to find myself drawn towards supporting people, particularly women, through different stages of their lives.

I have seen women question themselves, lose confidence, feel stuck, face uncertainty or wonder whether something more is possible.
I have also seen what can happen when someone feels heard, supported and reminded of their own strength.

That is what drew me towards coaching.
Personal growth means so much to me because I know that growth is not about having a perfect life. It is about learning how to navigate life with greater awareness, courage, faith and self-belief.

It may mean rebuilding a relationship, finding your voice, changing careers, stepping into leadership, starting again, achieving something you once thought was impossible, supporting your children, or simply becoming more comfortable and proud of who you are.

Growth looks different for every woman.
For me, it is also about recognising that we are not always in control of everything that happens in our lives. Sometimes we have to pause, breathe, reflect, trust, surrender what we cannot control and reconnect with something greater than ourselves.

My own journey has taught me the importance of faith, gratitude, community, compassion, reflection and learning to keep moving forward, even when the path is not clear.

These are not simply ideas I talk about. They are practices and lessons that have become part of my own life.

And perhaps this is what makes us stronger than we realise.
When we choose to keep moving beyond our experiences, beyond the hardship, beyond the awful moments and beyond the things that once made us question ourselves, we begin to discover a strength that was there all along.

We become more aware of who we are.
We learn.
We grow.
We rise.
This is the heart behind Rise Through Coaching.

I created Rise Through Coaching from a place of lived experience, learning and a genuine desire to walk alongside women as they navigate their own seasons of change.

I do not believe I have all the answers, and I am not here to tell another woman how she should live her life.

I am here to create a space where women can pause, reflect, feel supported, explore what is possible and reconnect with the strength within them.
Because sometimes, we do not need someone to fix us.

We need someone to remind us that we are capable of moving forward.
Through Community, Compassion & Faith you will RISE.

My faith and personal philosophy are an important part of my own journey, but I will never impose my beliefs or perspectives on you.
Instead, I share my experiences to help you understand what has supported my challenges - life experiences - growth, positive mindset, peace and joy.
Your beliefs, values and life experiences are uniquely yours, and they will always be respected. My role is not to tell you what to believe or how you should live, but to create a safe space where you can explore what matters to you, reconnect with your own inner strength, and discover the tools and perspectives that support your wellbeing and growth.
You don't have to see life the way I do. You simply need the space to discover what feels meaningful, empowering and true to you.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT WHY I FOCUS ON THE INNER BALANCE
SPIRITUAL SELF

I want to share something personal about the heart behind my work.

Yes, I am Muslim.

For me, Islam is about surrendering and submitting myself to the oneness of God - the Almighty - and trusting that I am not walking through this life alone.

My faith is an important part of who I am, and it naturally influences the way I see wellbeing, purpose, growth and connection. It has made my life journey easier to navigate, it gives me a sense of purpose, helps me overcome obstacles and life challenges and most importantly it keeps my heart alive-joyful. It gives me the ability of a positive mindset at most times, allowing me to fully explore life - pushing my fears away - I just keep going. I want everyone surrounded by my work to feel and gain that self worth, that external support from the unseen, that unstoppable self and most importantly get through this roller coaster ride-life and stay on top inside-out.

But I also believe something beautiful:

We come from different cultures, backgrounds and faiths. We may have different understandings and expressions of spirituality and I respect that.

What brings us together is the possibility of looking beyond ourselves and finding something greater to lean on when life feels difficult.

Because life can be a roller coaster. There are moments of joy, uncertainty, loss, change, fear and hope. And sometimes we need something deeper than our own strength to carry us through.

For me, that is God. It is where I find my faith, strength, guidance, hope and peace. This is why I believe spiritual growth is an important part of personal growth. When you create space to connect with your spiritual self, you may begin to ask deeper questions:

What is my heart telling me?
What truly matters to me?
Where do I find my strength?
What gives my life purpose?
What do I believe?
Who or what do I turn to when life becomes difficult?

You don't have to have all the answers.
You simply have to be willing to explore.
My work is not about telling you what to believe.

It is about creating a safe space where you can pause, reflect, breathe, connect and explore what gives your life meaning. For me, a peaceful and joyful life begins with knowing that I am connected to something greater than myself.

That is the beginning of The Awakening of the Heart.

After more than 29 years of public service, including 24 years in education, mentoring and adult education, I became a certified Life Coach, bringing together mindfulness, cognitive and behavioural strategies (neuro-absorption experiences), gratitude and self-reflection to support women in understanding their minds, emotions and inner strengths.
I believe every woman has a unique story, strength and journey. Through my coaching, workshops and retreats, I create a safe and compassionate space where you can slow down, breathe, reconnect with yourself and remember your worth. This work is not about becoming someone different, it is about reconnecting with who you already are and creating space to grow from the inside out.
The Awakening of the Heart - My own journey has taught me the importance of gratitude, perseverance, courage, positive thinking and spirituality.
Again, my faith in God has given me strength, guidance, hope and purpose through both life's challenges and achievements. Through mindfulness, conscious breathing, movement, stillness and reflection, I invite you to pause and listen more deeply to your thoughts, your body and your heart. In that space, you may discover greater clarity, connection, meaning and purpose.
You are not meant to walk through life alone. My hope is to help you feel seen, heard, valued and supported, while reconnecting with the woman you have always been and the potential that has always been within you.
